Hi everyone,

I’d like to hear from people working in food businesses about how you train new employees on food safety.

There are several areas new staff need to understand, including personal hygiene, allergen awareness, cross-contamination, cleaning procedures and safe food handling.

Do you provide formal food safety training when someone joins, or do you mainly use on-the-job training?

What approach have you found most effective for making sure new team members understand the basics and follow procedures consistently?
