What Hair Ties Do You Find Most Comfortable for Everyday Use?

I’ve been trying to find some better hair ties for everyday use because the basic elastic bands I normally use aren’t always the most comfortable. I usually keep my hair in a ponytail or bun during the day, and sometimes wear braids, so I’m looking for something that works well with different hairstyles.

I recently came across a hair accessories collection with quite a few different options, including regular elastic hair ties, scrunchies, pony cuffs, and bun donuts. There are also different materials and designs, such as satin, silk, floral, lace, plaid, and pearl styles.

I’m particularly interested in scrunchies because they seem like a nice way to make a simple ponytail look a little more put together. I also like the idea of having different styles depending on the occasion. Something simple would probably be better for everyday activities or working out, while a decorative scrunchie or pony cuff could work nicely with an outfit.

I’ve also seen bun donuts recommended for creating neater-looking buns, although I haven’t tried one myself yet. There are even specific hair ties and rings for people with dreadlocks, which I thought was interesting.

For anyone who regularly uses different types of hair ties, what do you find works best? Do you prefer traditional elastic bands, soft scrunchies, satin or silk styles, or something more decorative?

I’d especially like to hear from people with thicker or longer hair. Are there particular types that stay secure without pulling or feeling uncomfortable after wearing them for several hours?
