Quora account suspended out of nowhere, what’s going on?

Guys, so I’ve been using Quora pretty actively for a while now, mostly for research and posting in a few niche topics. Woke up this morning here in the US and my account is just gone. No warning, no email explaining anything, just suspended. Anyone else dealt with a Quora account suspended situation recently? Is there even a point in trying to appeal or is it basically permanent once they pull the trigger?

Happened to a buddy of mine last year. Quora’s moderation is pretty trigger happy and their automated systems flag stuff that looks even slightly promotional. Appeals do work sometimes but it takes patience and you have to be pretty specific about what you think triggered it.
