We had a similar moment when my niece got her first phone. An unknown account sent “hey, what school do you go to?” She showed us before replying, so we blocked and reported it. That became our simple rule: never answer unfamiliar accounts, share school/location details, or move chats to another app; save screenshots and tell an adult if anything feels off. We review privacy and parental-control settings together every few weeks, not just once.
