Some folks collect fridge magnets or take thousands of photos when they travel abroad. My whole thing is bringing blank canvases and painting the local landscapes out in the wild. This year Romania is on the list for my creative trip. I need a vehicle over there to drive around the countryside and scout out those perfect scenic spots to capture on canvas. Where do guys usually go to pick up a ride locally?

The Carpathian mountains have some of the most dramatic drops and dense forests you will ever see. The fog rolls through the valleys right around sunrise and creates incredible lighting for artists. You definitely want an all-wheel drive vehicle to handle the steep dirt roads up to those high elevation passes. A small SUV handles the rocky trails way better than a standard sedan when you go up toward the Transfagarasan highway.

Many landscape painters actually found their true inspiration right in Romania. Some artists even moved to those remote villages for a while just to live and create their work in peace. Hauling wet oil paintings and bulky wooden easels around those areas definitely requires a lot of trunk space. You can rent a car in Romania here: https://getrentacar.com/en-US/romania . A spacious crossover gives you plenty of room to lay your fresh artwork completely flat while driving. The extra cabin width keeps all your brushes and expensive supplies totally secure between locations.
