I’m trying to organize a complicated trip with three different stops across Europe and the prices on the direct airline websites are coming out to be astronomical. A major travel search engine is showing a “hacker fare” that combines several different airlines into one itinerary for a fraction of the cost. Has anyone here used a big travel platform for a multi-city trip like this and did the connection protection actually work if one of the flights was delayed?

The savings you get from those bundled itineraries are huge, but you definitely have to be more careful about your layover times since you’re often switching between different carriers. I did some research on travelocity reviews to see how their 24-hour guarantee and flight change policies hold up when you’re dealing with international partners. Most travelers found that as long as you have a decent buffer between flights, the platform is a very reliable way to see more of the world without blowing your entire budget on airfare alone.

Bundled itineraries can save a lot, but planning enough layover time is definitely key. It’s good to hear the platform is reliable as long as you give yourself a safe buffer between flights.
