Predicting which team will score first seems interesting because it focuses on the opening stages of a match rather than the final result. However, an early goal can completely change the expected development of the game. Do you consider first-goal markets when analysing football fixtures? Which factors matter most to you, such as starting intensity, early scoring records or the opponent’s defensive approach?

First-goal bets are tricky because one defensive lapse ruins everything, but analyzing opening momentum helps a lot. I always look at how teams perform in the first twenty minutes away from home. Some top clubs consistently concede early counterattacks due to overextending their defense. Skipping pre-match lines and looking for a solid yellow bet option live after watching the initial ten minutes of pressure has given me much better results than guessing before kickoff.
