Hey guys, so I’m putting together my first proper dropshipping store and everyone seems to default to Chinese suppliers without really questioning it. Here in the US shipping times from China have always been the main complaint from customers and I’m wondering if that’s still as big an issue as it used to be. Are chinese dropshipping suppliers still worth building around or has the landscape shifted enough that other sourcing options make more sense now?

Still very much worth it for the price point, nothing else comes close on margins for most product categories. The shipping time issue is real but a lot of suppliers now have US warehouses which changes the equation significantly. Just takes some digging to find the right ones.

The supplier relationship is honestly what separates stores that scale from ones that stay stuck. Chinese dropshipping suppliers cover an enormous range of niches and the pricing structure makes decent margins achievable even after ad spend. The warehouse situation has improved a lot in recent years which addresses the biggest customer complaint. That said, vetting suppliers properly before committing is where most beginners cut corners and regret it later. Worth getting a solid understanding of how the whole ecosystem works before placing your first orders.
