I’m a bit scared of snakes, but at the same time I think they are the most beautiful reptile. I was amazed to find just how many colourful species there are. I decided to go with orange as I wanted the picture to have a magical ethereal feel to it. To add extra detail to my picture, I drew all the individual scales which has really added to the effect I wanted to create. Hope you like it!

Used materials and techniques

Media and Techniques White 220gsm smooth cardstock Arteza Expert coloured pencils using a Derwent blending pencil White Posca pen for highlights and dots Mungyo soft pastels for background using pastel dust and a cotton wool pad
