Why does nobody talk about Storage Replica on AZ-801? I almost failed

This might save someone else from the same experience.

I spent five weeks preparing for AZ-801. I had Azure Backup covered. I understood Azure Site Recovery well enough to explain it to someone else. I walked into that exam feeling confident about the Disaster Recovery section.

Then the Storage Replica questions hit me like a wall.

Multiple scenario-based questions where Storage Replica was clearly the right answer, and I was sitting there second-guessing myself. I passed, but only just. And when I came out, I was frustrated not at the exam, but at how little attention Storage Replica gets in most study resources.

Here is what nobody tells you. AZ-801 does not just ask what Storage Replica is. It asks you to match synchronous vs asynchronous replication to a scenario with specific latency and RPO requirements. That is a completely different question. A one-paragraph definition will not save you there.

Most of what I studied treated Storage Replica as a footnote. I followed that lead, and it nearly cost me the exam. The only place I found scenario-based questions that actually reflected the depth of AZ-801 was ITExamsTopics. The difference in quality was immediately obvious.

Do not make my mistake. Treat Storage Replica as a first-class topic from day one. Your exam will not go easily.
