      Ranitidine 150 mg is a medication that was commonly used to reduce stomach acid. It belongs to a class of drugs called H2 (histamine-2) receptor blockers. Ranitidine was prescribed to treat and prevent conditions such as heartburn, acid reflux (GERD), peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It works by decreasing the amount of acid the stomach produces, providing relief from symptoms like indigestion and stomach pain. However, many ranitidine products were withdrawn from the market due to concerns over impurities (NDMA) that may increase cancer risk. Safer alternatives like famotidine are now more commonly recommended. Always consult your doctor before use.
