  Does anyone know how to safely update diagnostic software on older tools? I have a few devices that work fine, but I’m afraid of bricking them after a firmware update. Is it better to update manually, or should I contact an official dealer for it?

  I bricked my K-line interface once trying to flash it with a random file. If you’re not 100% sure about the update source — don’t risk it.

  You can get official updates and licensed diagnostic software directly from ECUTools https://ecutools.eu/ They supply genuine tools from leading brands and handle firmware updates securely through verified servers. I had the same issue with my Autel scanner — contacted them, and they guided me through the whole update process. Everything worked perfectly afterward.
