I’ve been thinking a lot about where replica watches are headed. Some of the newer “super clones” are crazy close to the originals, both in feel and movement. Do you think technology will eventually get to the point where a replica could be almost indistinguishable from a genuine Rolex even for collectors? And if that happens, where do we draw the line between a clone and a true original?

Honestly, I think we’re already close in some areas. My https://realvsfactory.com/Best-Clone/rolex-gmt-master-ii-replica/ feels nearly identical to a gen in terms of weight and finishing, and the movement runs surprisingly well. As machining and materials get better, the differences will become mostly about serial numbers, certificates, and history rather than physical feel. I wouldn’t be shocked if in a few years, replicas can fool anyone at a glance.

I think this reminds me of other industries, like electronics or sneakers, where high-quality counterfeits exist. Even if the physical product is almost perfect, the brand, provenance, and user experience still carry weight. People will probably keep valuing originals for the story behind them and the service network, even if clones get technically flawless. It’s fascinating how perception and tech intersect in these markets.
