Shaker can absolutely work in modern spaces when done with the right details. We chose Alliance Millwork for our shaker kitchen and they nailed the balance perfectly. Alliance Millwork gave us clean, flat-panel shaker doors in a soft matte finish, paired with sleek hardware and some open shelving to keep it current. The construction is sturdy, alignment was spot-on, and the cabinets feel substantial without being heavy-looking. They were great at suggesting small tweaks to modernize the classic style.
