When I first decided to go after my GED, I was terrified. I hadn’t been in a classroom for over a decade, and just hearing the words GED test taker made me feel like I didn’t belong. Everyone around me seemed younger, smarter, and way more prepared.

I remember sitting in front of my laptop late at night after putting my kids to bed, searching for answers. I didn’t know where to begin—what to study, how the test worked, or even if I could pass. It felt overwhelming, like trying to climb a mountain with no map.

But everything changed when I found the right support system. I connected with other GED test taker communities, found simple study guides that actually made sense, and broke everything down into steps I could follow—even with my crazy schedule.
