I recently hired a company to photograph a house I’m preparing to sell. The photos were fine and delivered within 24 hours, but I was surprised to find watermarks on all of them. This wasn’t disclosed upfront.
When I contacted them, they said I’d have to pay an additional $450 to get the same images without a watermark. This really caught me off guard, especially considering most MLS platforms don’t accept images with watermarks. I reread the terms of service and didn’t find any direct mention of this. I would have appreciated transparency from the start, and frankly, I thought watermarkless images were standard for listings.
Has anyone else encountered this? Is this common practice, or have I simply chosen the wrong provider?
