When I began tapering off my medication, the isolation hit harder than expected. Friends were supportive, but no one really understood what I was going through. I wanted something online where people weren’t judging or rushing me. That’s when I found Benzo Buddies. The tone of the forum felt more grounded than others I’d skimmed before. I’m still early in the process, but the support has helped more than I expected. Has anyone here stuck around through their whole taper — did it keep feeling helpful throughout?

My sleep was off, emotions were unpredictable, and I felt like I was unraveling during my second month tapering. I joined a few groups, but most felt cold or disorganized. Then I landed on benzo buddies, where the tone was steady and the replies felt genuine. No magic answers, just people being honest and encouraging without pressure. It made me feel less like I was losing control and more like I was just in a hard part of a longer process. It’s become part of my recovery routine now.
