The Land of Fantasia – Pegasus

I just finished coloring the picture of Pegasus. It was an adventure in mixed-media and I had a great time working on it. I had no idea where I was going with it when I started. All I knew was that I wanted the body to be in black marker. And then the grey tail and main followed rather naturally. The background was the easy part. But what to do with the wings and the rest of the body? I ended up printing out a second copy of it to use to experiment with color and medium. This is what eventually ended up on the original print-out of the blank picture. The wings and shapes on the body were done in glitter gel pens. The background is in colored pencil. I'm very happy with it. And it's nowhere near where I had originally thought about going. You just never know with these things!!
