I couldn't wait to colour this when I saw it! It brought back memories of my husband's Christmas party, which was a masked ball at Kings College Cambridge. This was the last social event I attended before my life fell apart and social distancing was enforced. I enjoyed every minute of the 10 hours it took me to create this picture and it has made me feel really proud of myself and how far I have come over the last three months. The photo really doesn't do it justice as I used a lot of glitter gel pens, which is difficult to tell. I hope you like it! ❤️

Wow, this is truly a masterpiece! 10 hour of work….unbelievable! You did an amazing job, Janice! I absolutely love the detail – te butterflies, flowers, the mask – they are so beautiful! I am blown away, to be honest! You are very good at this.

Thanks, Anastasia! I am literally stunned by your high praise as I am very critical of my work. It was definitely a labour of love. I am really happy to be part of your community and can’t wait to start my next picture 😀
Anastasia is right! It’s fantastic! I love the contrast between her skin and the darkness of her hair and the mask! (Your skin tones are wonderful, by the way.) Every time I look at it, I find more details to admire and be wowed by. It’s incredible! I have to ask, what did you use for the white spots on the flowers in her hair? They really set those flowers off!
Aww, thanks Carla! I loved doing this one, but it was very laborious. I haven’t done any colouring today! haha. The white spots are Posca Paint pens. They’re magic! ❤️
