The checkout process on our Magento 2 website has gone through several customizations over the years. Because of this, we’re not entirely sure whether all user interactions are still being tracked properly. Has anyone audited their analytics setup after significant customization, and what were the most common issues discovered?

We spent nearly three weeks trying to figure out why our ad dashboards were reporting significantly fewer sales transactions than our actual Magento backend order history was showing. It turned out our old custom tracking scripts were failing to execute whenever a customer utilized an express mobile payment gateway like Apple Pay. We completely resolved this frustrating reporting gap when we took the time to
Configure GA4 ecommerce tracking through a module that monitors server-side events directly rather than relying solely on the user’s browser. Now, every single transaction gets captured perfectly, regardless of the payment method or browser settings.
