I’m in a bit of a panic here. My 2012 Lotus Evora has been flawless for the two years I’ve owned it, but yesterday I got in and the clutch pedal felt twice as heavy as normal. It still engages and disengages fine, no slipping, no strange noises, but my left leg is actually tired after driving for 20 minutes. I’ve read that the Evora’s clutch master cylinder can fail internally, or the pedal linkage can seize up. The problem is, I don’t know any shop in Sharjah that actually knows these cars. Most places look at a Lotus like it’s an alien spaceship. A friend mentioned that there’s proven Lotus repair in 800Sayara Sharjah and that they’ve worked on Exiges and Elises before. Has anyone here taken their Lotus to them for clutch or transmission work? I really don’t want to ship the car to Dubai if I can avoid it, but I also don’t want someone learning on my car. Any real experiences would be hugely appreciated because I’m stressing out. Thanks.
