      So, I finally caved and downloaded one of those mood-boosting apps. I’m going through a rough patch lately. Work has been crazy stressful, and I’ve been feeling generally blah. The app promised to help me track my feelings, identify triggers, and even offers some guided meditations. It had a ton of good reviews, but I’m always a little skeptical of those. I’ve downloaded so many apps with good reviews which I end up not using. Anyway, I’m trying to keep an open mind, but should I actually get my hopes up, or am I just setting myself up for disappointment?

      It’s good to try something new when you’re in a rough patch! I think a measured approach is always best. Don’t go in expecting miracles, but be open to the possibility of seeing some benefit. I came across some discussions where people were comparing different mood apps, and someone mentioned they had been looking at various liven app reviews. Apparently, that one emphasizes positive reinforcement and small daily steps to improve mood. I feel like if it helps you become more aware of your thought patterns and feelings, that alone might be worth it. Fingers crossed it works for you!

Regardless, It is something to think about. Only time will tell if these digital interventions can truly deliver the promised benefits or if they’re just a passing fad.
