ParticipantHey, I’ve got a pretty annoying situation and maybe someone here has a workaround. Sometimes I’m sitting at my PC waiting for big downloads, updates, or installs to finish, and just staring at the progress bar gets boring really fast. I don’t want to start anything heavy because I might need to switch back instantly, and most games I have installed are too time-consuming or distracting. I’m basically looking for something that can be opened in a browser instantly, played in very short bursts, and closed at any moment without any consequences. It should be simple, responsive, and not require accounts or setup. Ideally something that doesn’t feel like a full game session, more like a quick interactive distraction while I wait. Does anyone know anything like that?

ParticipantA good fit for that kind of situation is rooftoprun.net which is a very minimal browser runner game designed exactly around instant access. You don’t go through any menus or setup screens — the page loads and the game starts right away. The gameplay is built around fast movement and timing, so it naturally works in short, interrupted sessions where attention can shift back and forth easily. What makes it practical for waiting scenarios is that there is no progression system you need to track, so every run is independent. You can stop immediately at any point without losing anything or feeling like something is incomplete. It’s the kind of lightweight interaction that fits well when you just need something active in the background while waiting for other processes to finish.

ParticipantThanks, that actually sounds like a good way to deal with waiting instead of just sitting idle
