Would it be possible to rent a boat at Apsley Marina for a family getaway?

  My family and I want to escape the hustle and bustle of London for the weekend, but we don’t want to spend all day traveling. Our friends have raved about Apsley. They say it has an incredible atmosphere and is very peaceful with canals and a family-friendly vibe. Does anyone know if it’s possible to rent a boat specifically for a family vacation with kids at Apsley Marina?

  I heard there used to be a famous paper mill there. Is there parking, and will the kids get bored if we just hang out on the water for a few hours? My little ones are active and need either scenery or a place to run around after the boat ride.

  I think Apsley is a real gem for a family weekend getaway. When I was visiting my parents nearby a couple of weeks ago, we stopped by the marina for a couple of hours on the way to Luton Airport to clear our heads. In the end, we couldn’t resist and rented a small yacht for a cruise. Everything was great – the kids were thrilled. We booked everything on the fly through GetBoat. It’s convenient because you can see the available options at Apsley Marina in real time. After the boat ride, we stopped by the Paper Mill pub right by the water. The food there is delicious, and they have a kid-friendly menu. Parking is convenient, and there’s a shopping center nearby, so you won’t have any trouble. How do your kids feel about paddleboarding? I saw a lot of people trying it – it looks like fun.
