While working on my last research paper, I kept losing track of which sources cited which studies. I spent hours double-checking references and still felt unsure. It made me wonder: how reliable are AI tools for tracking citations in research projects?

I ran into the same problem during a group project last year. We tried tracking dozens of papers manually, which got messy fast. Then I experimented with https://textero.io/ai-research-tool, and it helped map citations across multiple articles. The AI highlighted which studies were most cited and even showed overlaps between sources. I still verified key references myself, but it saved so much time and prevented errors. It was especially helpful for spotting patterns I might have missed otherwise. While no tool is perfect, using it as a guide made our citation tracking more organized and efficient, and it gave me more confidence in the final bibliography.
