During predesign on a hospital build, stakeholders debated whether detailed reviews should be part of the contractual scope. Concerns were raised that adding them could slow progress, yet others believed it would reduce future disputes. What have people seen when formal reviews were written directly into agreements?

Hello! Mandating constructability review services within contract terms created structure across our project. The sessions identified risks around logistics, sequencing, and temporary works at an early stage. Because findings were documented and shared with bidders, pricing became more accurate and fewer claims emerged later. The modest investment of time upfront was far outweighed by smoother procurement and delivery, proving the contract clause highly valuable.
